I just want you to call me Punky Bruester. After which I ask who that is again for the millionth time, and you tell me. See you in my dreams again tonight, brother.
So this song probably isn’t one of last year’s best, but I do like it. Really, there is elements of this song that I love, but others that I disagree with. There are just too many things I would’ve done differently. Maybe I’ll make an edit soon. This is more of a personal honorable mention, but I’ve had a few drinks, so here it is:

Ridiculous! She incapacitates me, :]
JERRY: George was scarfing shrimp at this meeting, and this guy says ‘Hey, George, the ocean called. They’re running outta shrimp.’
GEORGE: Listen to the comeback. (pleased) ‘Oh yeah? Well the jerk store called. They’re running outta you.’
George smiles and looks expectant. The other three just stare at him, with varying levels of confusion in their expressions.
GEORGE: (worked up) Wha…You gotta be kidding me?!
ELAINE: How ‘bout this one? How ‘bout, ‘Your cranium called. It’s got some space to rent.’?
GEORGE: (confused) What does that mean?
JERRY: (taps George’s chest) Hey, here you go. ‘Hey, Reilly. The zoo called. You’re due back by six.’
GEORGE: (frustrated) No. No, no, no. You’re not helping me.
KRAMER: Look, just tell him you had sex with his wife. That’ll kill him.
GEORGE: (shouting) I’m not looking for another line. I got the line.
KRAMER: Look, George, just think about it. You know, you’re married, how would you feel if somebody says to you that they just had se…
GEORGE: (really animated) Alright, alright. You see? This is why I hate writing with a large group. Everybody has their own little opinions, and it all gets homogenised, and you lose the whole edge of it. I’m going with jerk store! Jerk store is the line! Jerk store! Yess!(via The Comeback)
These guys are the symbols we all strive to be, but they wish to be me. I guess no one is meant to be content

Gesaffelstein really shined light on techno last year with the release of Conspiracy Pt. 1. It’s a solid and varied ep, with each of the three songs providing a unique feel, all while keeping in tune with Gesaffelstein’s style. I like all three songs, but Hatred captured my attention upon first listen. It’s a slow three-minute and 10-second build until the first drop hits, and when it does, it is glorious.

Geisha Twins exploded onto the scene last year with their hit Love Situation. These kids are only 20, it’s pretty unbelievable. They’re based outside of San Diego.
The Love Situation ep also came with a solid remix by Stardust Records’ ‘head honcho’ DJ EQ. Also worth checking out. Here’s the original:

This next song is used as the intro to what is my favorite mix, La Grand Bouffe by Justin Faust. It’s called Pantera by Kartell. It samples off of Who Can I Run To by The Jones Girls.
Someone made a music video for the song featuring The New Jack Swing Brothers dancing throughout. The song is edited to have shorter breaks, but you get the essence of it. If you like the song you can download the full version for free from here. While you’re at it, check out the rest of his music.
